At the Zoo

I have half of the drawings completed for the next Royal Brush project.  Here they are!

More Backyard Birds

I decided to do a couple of the birds over as well as add a couple more.   The collection will be called Backyard Birds (minus the Parrot, parakeets and fruit doves...that will be used for a later project).

Wolves - Revised

I've reconsidered the wolf composite drawing and made some modifications.  I fixed the center wolf's facial features, making it a bit more wolf-like.  Also you will notice I've replaced the wolf on the viewer's right with a howling position.  I think the composite looks much better.

Baseball - Still life

For all the basebase fans out there!  Spring is here so let's play ball!
This is a still-life study for Royal Brush.  They will be making a sketch kit out of this one.  It was actually really fun to do.  I used the magical Palomino Blackwing pencil for the glove base texture and used the Palomino 2H and 6B for the lights and darks.  These pencils worked perfectly on the Canson Foundation Series Bristol smooth paper.

Three Wolves

It may seem quiet here lately, but I promise I have been drawing!  I've continued to do commission work for Royal Brush Company.  Here is a composite of three wolves for one of their sketch kits.
